| New PB's set in hard fought gala The second round of Chiltern league saw Banbury swimmers competing at Leighton Buzzard. A packed Sports Centre witnessed Banbury swimmers achieving a very good fourth place against opposition from Abingdon, Leighton Buzzard, Kettering, Buckingham and Amersham. Four swimmers achieved first place in their respective individual events. Alissa Robins (100m Open Freestyle), Alistair Brown u14 50m backstroke, Joe Scott (100m Open Breaststroke and Open 50m Butterfly) and Elizabeth Wallace 10yrs 50m backstroke. The Chiltern League is a graded competition with no faster than time limits. Sam Spyker Shaw exceeded the time in the Boys 10yrs 50m freestyle with a new PB of 45.56. Matthew Humphris ( Open 100m freestyle), Chris Penny ( 10yrs 50m breaststroke), Jasmine Hill (10yrs 50m freestyle), and Andrew Morley (10yrs 50m backstroke) all came second in their individual events. Each of the swimmers again achieving new PBs. The Boys u14 medley relay teams also came second in a close fought event. Findley Webb, Lucy Cross, Alice Eaton, Elenya McGovern, Jack Scott, Emily Page, Ben James, Imogen Webb, Nicholas Woodward, Megan Moran, Jade Calvert and Robert Elstrob all had personal success and recorded a new Personal Best for their individual event.
